Hard to figure out this team. Like the mix of players, Huberdeau is going to be a superstar. Love the coach. But it does not seem to be working.

The starting point for any team has to be goaltending.

Maybe the Panthers need to revisit the Luongo file at the end of the season.

Another option might be to talk to Ottawa. They have three stud goalies, including Anderson. I really liked Anderson as a Panther. Tallon has the draft and prospect depth to make a serious pitch for Anderson.

Well, any dreams of the top 2 picks are gone. 1st overall will belong to Edmonton as this is and has been their rebuild plan. 2nd will be Columbus, granted this team is better than the standings show and their play of late but, don`t count on this new management team of making any moves that pertain to the present season.

Huberdeau looks like a stud. Suck the rest of this year and draft Drouin or Mackinnon. You have some solid D prospects in place. I actually see the light at the end of the tunnel for Florida.

I would consider moving Campbell as well. Try and get a 1st round pick for him and a prospect. This is a deep draft.

At this point, I may be ready to take Luongo. Gudbranson is still very green but I do not see him being moved.

What could you give up though? Something other than what we don't already have.

As long as you fall in the top 5 your golden. Barkov and Nichushkin are studs. Scratch that top 7... Lindholm and Monohan would be nice as well.

Panthers should throw in the towel for a high pick. With Weiss' injury and such, I just hope they don't do the same mistake they keep doing and making that run at the end of the season to end up in a 3-10 drafting range.

You guys aren't as far back as you think. You came within a goal of the second round last year. I'd love to see Luongo back as a Panther. You're in good hands under Tallon. Maybe the injury to Weiss is a godsend... might allow you to bomb the season, hopefully re-sign him, and get a good pick better than 3rd overall.

At least more of our AHL kids are getting some experience and to show what they have. I have been liking Robak and Rheault, and Shore has been a very nice surprise. Markstrom is getting some seasoning. Makes us stronger in the future.

Rheault is 27 years old, he's no kid, the guy was drafted in 06 and his only 3 games in the NHL came this season because the Panthers have no depth thanks to the injuries to the guys on the big club and on the Rampage.

I'm usually negative but to be honest I'm getting sick of myself being that way. All I want is a winner here, a team that can reck havoc in the NHL for years to come and it should be that time and it's not. That's why I'm so bitter towards this organization. They've had so many chances to build a winner and they keep on failing.

The positive is that Huberdeau looks to be the real deal. I love this kid. I love Shore even more < rhymed!

I'm more upset at the fact that the rest of the season is really unwatchable. Other than Huby and Shore what else is there to look forward to? Markstrom is in the dog house, he seems out of it and is never focused. Word has cycled around the league to shoot high on this kid, he drops to his knees on every shot. He's going to continue to get lit up until he adjusts to the NHL. It's a learning curve and I'm willing to be patient with the kid because he's a freak, just needs to be more poised.

Trade Deadline:

Sadly we will be sellers but not to a great extent. We should be buyers but with the injuries and being dead last in the NHL it makes no sense.

Matthias has increased his trade value over the past 5 games, he's the obvious assumption that he's one of maybe a handful of guys from this team that will be dealt. Kopecky and Skille are the other two that could be dealt. I like Skille's effort every night but he can't finish. He has the legs but no skill in his hands. It's been fun Matthias but there's a team out there that will love your intensity and would love to add you to their 3rd or 4th energy line. Goodluck in the playoffs, you deserve it.

Come on you will never get him with that. You can say his value isn't very high but D-men take longer to develop. And he has been showing great improvement. He was a 3rd overall pick and he will be a stud in the near future you don't move a guy like that unless it's a big over payment.

Just wait for him to be bought out and get him cheap no reason to over pay for him. Lu isn't going to save this season!

"If it is the last game, it's the last game, and I hope that everyone understands why I made this decision. It's been a good ride."

He aint coming back. I don't blame you Weiss, go live your life and sign with a team that really wants to win a championship.

I agree with you my friend, we have amazing prospects coming in and if you add a Drouin or Mackinnon, we'll be set for years to come. On the other hand I wouldn't get rid of Campbell, he's been the rock for this team and when you bring in the prospects he'll have a lot to offer them when it comes to developing. Plus he's the best D-man in the league when it comes to the power play if you wanna go by stats.

Agreed

I also don't see to many teams wants to take on his contract and no way tallon moves him Campbell was a huge piece to us making the playoffs last year!

Of course I'm right again. If you are watching the game today the Canadians are shooting high glove on Markstrom. Told you word gets around fast in the NHL. The kid goes down EVERY TIME, he's going to keep getting lit up this season. It's sad.

Montreal South, love the crowd, too bad there's more Hab's fans.

People freaking out about Markstrom. Re-freaking-lax. This is his training camp. Like we have any hope of getting into the playoffs? Let the bad goals happen now. Let him learn to adjust now. He's 6'6 and will learn to play in net using his size. He will learn to take a step out of the crease and challenge the shooters a bit more. It's not that he lets in one bad goal a game.. most goaltenders do.. it's that we don't have a team who can get that goal back. We just don't. Everything Markstrom does, or doesn't do, will be magnified because of this. It isn't fair to him. Unfortunately, this little trial run he's getting will either help him turn into a pro or hurt his development immensley. In my opinion, I think it helps him. He is still making the tough saves. If Tallon decides to make a change this off season then so be it.

All of this emotion is in vane. We aren't going anywehre this season. We are finished. No playoffs. Don't kid yourself and do that math and give me that "but we're only 6 points...". NO! Season is finished. We were decimated with injuries. Decimated. We have a nice little lead in the man-games lost column. I read yesterday that the only untouchables on the team are the kids, Markstrom, Ccampbell, Gudbranson, and Robak. I'm sure that Flash is safe as well. At this point, dangle Versteeg and Kulikov. If we can keep them, great. Kopecky is far more valuable than both of them together. Matthias is someone we need to resign immediately. Looks like his shell has been cracked open and he is coming out- FINALLY!

There's only 22 games left, let's just get through them, enjoy the playoffs, and compete next year when it actually counts.

Ek thinks Campbell is on the move. That means he's here for another 6 years lol. Wouldn't mind getting that 7 million a year contract off the books to make room for Perry. lol
